Play was severely curtailed on the first day; lunch was taken at 1.00pm when rain stopped proceedings and, though play recommenced at 3.00pm, only a further 15 minutes were possible.
For the home side Gillespie top-scored in both innings with 57 in the first and an unbeaten 55, an innings of just 70 minutes, in the second.
Blacklidge took 7 wickets for 47 runs in Glamorgan's first innings.
