In the absence from home of Mr Richardson and the Countess of Yarborough the cup was presented Mrs Dorrington, who also gave the gold medals to the players on the winning side, and silver ones to the members the Scawby and Broughton team. Short speeches of acknowledgment were made by Messrs Tong and Coulson from Healing, and Messrs Johnson and Spilman from Scawby and Broughton. The cup was filled with champagne, and handed round. Cheers having been given for both teams the proceedings closed.
