The touring English side moved closer to sweeping the two match Test series as they left Bangladesh floundering at 172 for 6 with an overall lead of 95 runs.

Resuming the day at 440 for 8 it was of everyone's interest as to whether Bresnan would reach the three figure mark. The burly all-rounder took his own sweet time as he added 17 more runs to his overnight score. On 91, Bresnan gave the charge to left arm spinner Abdur Razzak and was stumped. England were all out for 496 and in the process gained 77 runs lead.

Bangladesh in reply got off to a rousing start as Tamim Iqbal once again showed that he is the future star for Bangladesh. The young left-hander slammed a quick-fire fifty before getting out.

The English bowlers did well to remove six Bangladeshi wickets and at stumps Bangladesh had scored 172 for the loss of 6 wickets while mustering a lead of 95 runs.
