Carmarthenshire won this return by 117 runs at 5.15 pm on the second day, after Carmarthenshire in their second innings required 198 runs to win in three and a half hours. Bad light followed by rain at 5 pm prevented any further play on the first day. The match between the two sides at Llanelly in July had been won by Carmarthenshire. For the winners, Whiting took 10 wickets in the match for 104 runs. There were 5 fours in Hain's 60. For Carmarthenshire, James top-scored with 34 containing 6 fours.
