Norfolk won this return match by 8 wickets at 5.15 pm on the second day, after being set a victory target of 77 with over two hours to bat. The match between the two sides at Ipswich in June had been won by Suffolk. For the winners, Gibson took 10 wickets in the match for 90 runs. There were15 fours in Stevens's 84. For the losers, F T D Wilson took 7 wickets in the Norfolk first innings for 80 runs. There were 7 fours in Dewing's 52.
