By winning this return match at 5.05 pm on the second day, Glamorgan ensured they shared the Championship with Durham and Northamptonshire. They also completed the 'double' over Berkshire, having won when the teams met at Cardiff in July. Frequent rain interrupted play
on the second day. For the winners, Bancroft top-scored with 46, which contained 6 fours. Croome made the highest score for Berkshire with 38. The 4 catches held by Croome in the Glamorgan first innings were the most by a fieldsman in an innings during the season, and equalled the previous best which had been preformed on 7 previous occasions, including by Croome himself. While fielding at mid-off in the Berkshire first innings, Cameron sprained his leg and had to be assisted from the field, and he took no further part in the match.
