Biography:During the First World War he served in the Queen's Own West Kent Yeomanry (MC, 1917). Conservatibe MP for Chippenham 1924-43. 1939-43 employed by the War Office to work with the Polish forces led by General Wladyslaw Sikorski. Died with the General and 13 others when their Liberator bomber crashed in the sea whilst taking off from the short and difficult runway at Gibralter.
