Biography:Styled Lord Settrington until August 1819, then Earl of March until October 1860 when he succeeded his father as sixth Duke of Richmond. MP for West Sussex 1841-1860. President of the Board of Trade 1867-68 and 1885, Lord President of the Council 1874-80, Secretary of State for Scotland 1885-86. KG (knighted) 1867. MCC President 1842/43.
