A panel of experts lead by Mr. Stephen Bernard, from Australian Cricket Board visited Kochi to assess the facilities and Security situation in Kochi. The Australian team is playing the 2nd ODI between India here on the 2nd of October. Mr. Stephen Bernard was accompanied by Geoff Allardice (Australian Cricket manager), Reginald Dickson (Security Manager) and Paul Marsh (Australian Cricket Association Chief) Cricket Australia and Mr. Suru Nayak (BCCI Cricket Development Manager).

The panel inspected amenities in the Hotel where the team would be staying as well as the venue and put forth some suggestions before KCA to augment the facilities. The Aussie team was confident that the KCA would be able put up a great show in organizing the match.
