A medium paced swing and seam bowler of some promise Anthony Ireland has been a regular in the ODI squad ever since he made his debut against New Zealand at Bulawayo in 2005. A tall muscularly built bowler who has a good action Ireland attacks the stumps giving the batsmen no respite. In his brief ODI career he has had a three-wicket haul three times. After several impressive performances on his first tour of the West Indies in 2006 he again caught the eye with his bowling in the ICC Champions Trophy in India later in the year.
