Pakistan recalled opener Yasir Hameed and invited uncapped paceman Samiullah Khan for the first two Tests of their three-match series against the West Indies starting on November 11, chief selector Wasim Bari said Monday.

Hameed played his last Test on Pakistan's tour of India last year, while the left arm paceman Samiullah toured England with Pakistan team but did not play any of the four Test matches.
"We have selected the best available squad and since Hameed is an experienced batsman we have given him another chance for this Test series which is going to be an exciting one," Bari told reporters.
Allrounder Shahid Afridi, paceman Rana Naved-ul-Hasan and Rao Iftikhar who all were part of Pakistan team in the just-ended Champions Trophy in India, were axed.
Captain Inzamam-ul-Haq returned to lead the side after serving a four-match ban on charges of disreputing the game during Oval Test in August this year.
Inzamam will, however, miss the first of the five One Day Internationals against the West Indies which follow the Test series.
Squad: Inzamam-ul-Haq (captain), Yasir Hameed, Younis Khan, Mohammad Yousuf, Mohammad Hafeez, Imran Farhat, Abdul Razzaq, Kamran Akmal, Danish Kaneria, Umar Gul, Faisal Iqbal, Samiullah Khan, Shahid Nazir, Abdur Rehman and Shoaib Malik.(Article: Copyright © 2006 AFP)
