Sri Lankan batsman Marvan Atapattu is hoping to put his injury problems behind him and play a starring role in the ICC Champions Trophy.

 

Atapattu, who is back to full fitness following a back injury, played his last one-dayer back in March.

 

"Yes, I am raring to go," said Atapattu. "I have not played much cricket in recent months, but the team's confidence is high. It's a challenge for all of us to do well in the tournament."

 

Sri Lanka plays the West Indies, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe in the qualifying rounds starting on October 7.
