Condolence Message

The following Condolence Message from Pakistan Cricket Board was sent to Mr. Rameez Raja on the death of his brother and former Pakistan cricket star Wasim Raja.

Dear Rameez,

"On behalf of the Chairman, Pakistan Cricket Board, colleagues in PCB and on my own behalf, I write to express our deepest sorrow on the sad and untimely passing away of your illustrious elder brother, Wasim Raja, one of Pakistan's most gifted cricketers. Wasim Raja made an enormous contribution in popularizing the game through his fluent batting style and bowling skills. That he died playing cricket is a remarkable testimony to your brother's profound love for the game. His tragic death has cast a pal of gloom over cricket lovers in Pakistan as well as board.

All of us fully share your grief and we pray that your brother's soul rests in peace. May Allah Almighty give you and your family strength to bear this huge loss. Ameen.

Yours sincerely,
Abbas Zaidi
Director Board Operations
