Accounts statement relating to sale of tickets for Eng-Pak series 2005-06
Pakistan Cricket Board has been able to compile accounts relating to sale of tickets for the Pakistan England Series 2005 which have been authenticated by the Internal Auditor. Statement of accounts is attached.
It would be noted that the total sales amounted to Rs 44,265,050/-. It may also be mentioned that for the three Test matches against England that an average of 70% of the total tickets were given away free of cost to the general public through the designated bank on a first-come, first-serve basis. The experiment helped attract sizeable spectators at the stadium for the Test matches whereas during the much-hyped 2004 Series against India the stands remained deserted at Multan, Lahore and Rawalpindi Tests.
