The World XI were 162 for five after 25 overs chasing 329 runs to beat Australia in the second Super Series one-dayer at Docklands stadium here on Friday.

 

Chris Gayle (54) and Kumar Sangakkara (61) gave the world team a great start, but the loss of three quick wickets steadied their run-rate to 6.27 just below the asking rate.

 

Rahul Dravid was on two and Andy Flintoff was three.
