Former Rawtenstall professional Abid Ali has passed away at the age of 83.
 
Ali helped Rawtenstall win the league and cup double in 1976, taking 82 wickets at 13.4 and scoring 427 runs at 22.5 in league matches. 
In all Ali hit 1969 runs at 33.4 and he took 236 wickets at 15.1 in the league in his three seasons at the club. 
He played 29 Tests for India, hitting 1018 runs at 20.4 and taking 47 wickets at 42.1.LATEST SCORES
