Clitheroe have announced the signing of Pakistani Fawad Alam as their new professional for the 2017 season.

 

Fawad is a left handed batsman who boasts a First-class average of 56.5 in making 10172 runs with 25 centuries and 54 half centuries. He also bowls slow left arm orthodox and has taken 43 wickets at 38.0 in 135 First-class matches.

 

The 31 year-old has played three Test matches making 168 on debut against Sri Lanka at Colombo in 2009 and has represented Pakistan in all formats.

 

Fawad also has extensive experience of league cricket in England.
