East Lancs have confirmed the signing of twenty two year-old South African Andries Gous as professional for the 2016 season.
 
Gous is a right-handed top order batsman and wicket keeper. He has to date played 22 First-class matches for Free State, 11 one-day matches and 12 T20s. 
Making his First-class debut in 2013 as a 19 year old, he has now scored over 1000 First-class runs at an average of 34.80. His highest score of 100 was made as recently as 14th February this year. 
Andries has also secured 41 victims in those 22 matches. 
Andries has recently been added to the VKB Knights squad and has also represented South Africa at U19 and U23 level.
