Rishton have signed South African all rounder Kelly Smutts as their new professional for the club's 150th anniversary season.

The 24 year-old left handed batsman has scored 2569 runs at 27.6 with five centuries since making his First-class debut for Eastern Province in 2009. His right arm medium fast bowling has so far accounted for 41 victims at 29.8.
Brother of Jon-Jon, who was Bacup's professional in 2011, Kelly actually signed for Colne in 2011 but had to withdraw with a pelvic injury.
He was professional with Northern Premier League side Morecambe last season and he stood in as sub professional for Todmorden, taking a spectacular 7-50 in the epic match with Lowerhouse.
Smutts will be the club's twelfth South African professional
Rishton C.C. would like to express their thanks to Gary Hunt and his company Cric-Intro for their help in the signing of Kelly.LATEST SCORES
