The funeral of former Ramsbottom all rounder Peter Ashworth will be held on Thursday September 25th at St Hilda's Church, Turton Road, Tottington.

 

Celebrations of Peter's life will continue at Ramsbottom Cricket Club following the ceremony.

 

Peter Ashworth sadly passed away on Sunday 14th September after a long illness.

 

Peter was a prominent member of the 1974 Championship side and former captain of the club.

 

Peter was very well respected both on and off the field, a true sportsman and most certainly a Gentleman.
