Gareth Rees is a forceful left-handed opening batsman who has twice scored over a thousand runs in a season, including a tally of 1,088 first-class runs in 2008.

 

After making his Glamorgan debut in 2006, Gareth won his county cap in 2009 and has subsequently also enjoyed success in limited-overs cricket, scoring two centuries in one-day matches in 2011.

 

At the start of the 2012 season Gareth was also chosen to play for the MCC against Lancashire in the Champion County match.
