Haslingden have signed former Ramsbottom professional Brenton Parchment as professional for 2013.
 
The 30 year-old played five matches as sub professional for Haslingden last season, scoring 139 runs at 69.5, figuring in the highest partnership of the season when he put on 203 with skipper Graham Knowles (156) at Rawtenstall. Last season he played at Haverigg in the North Lancs and Cumbria Premier League where he was the leading run scorer with over 800 runs, including three hundreds. He also picked up over 50 wickets at little over 13 apiece. 
In his one season at Ramsbottom in 2009, Parchment led the way of most of the season for the highest innings with his unbeaten 131 against East Lancs being his best knock in his 697 runs at 33.2. 
Parchment also notched five half centuries and he picked up 55 wickets at 18.4 with a mixture of medium pace and off spin. He helped his team win the Worsley Cup, playing a match winning innings in the semi final against Church at Acre Bottom.LATEST SCORES
