Burnley have signed Cape Cobras and Western Province off-spinning all rounder Dane Piedt as professional for the 2012 season. The 21 year-old has a Supersport First Class best of 7 for 92 and a total of 73 wickets at 23.5.

 

Burnley Chairman Michael Brown said: "Dane is fantastic fielder who comes highly recommended by Owais Shah. Thanks to Gary Hunt and Cric-Intro for their help in sorting out the arrangement."

 

Piedt will be the club's seventh South African professional.
