Media Release - 13 November 2010

Dubai November 13, 2010: The Pakistan cricket Board on Saturday issued the following statement regarding the selection and submission of a 30-player provisional squad to the International Cricket Council (ICC) for next yearÂ’s ICC Cricket World Cup 2011:

"The PCB wishes to clarify that it is the PCB's sole prerogative to select the squad for next year's ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. The impression in a section of media that the PCB will submit a list of 45 players to the ICC for its sign-off, is incorrect.

"However, the PCB having a zero-tolerance towards corruption, would review all players through its Integrity Committee and may seek the guidance of ICC's Anti-Corruption and Safety Unit (ACSU) on any player it wishes to select. The decision as to which players will be included in the 30-man provisional squad will remain with PCB".

As part of ICC regulations, all the participating teams have to submit a 30-player provisional squad 60 days before the start of the tournament and the final 15-man squad 30 days before the start of the tournament.
