The first of the three one-dayer between Australia and India has been abandoned due to persistent rain. The wet conditions delayed the start of the toss and the umpires inspected the conditions at 9:00 am but found the areas near the bowlers run-up and a few parts near the boundary lines damp.

 

They decided to carry out another inspection at 11:00 am to make a final call. But the rains began again at about 10 a.m., forcing the match to be abandoned.
