Tasmanian batsman Alex Doolan will be the new Ramsbottom professional. The club has agreed terms with the 24 year-old to replace previous signing Usman Khawaja who was picked in the Australia squad for the series against Pakistan in England.

 

Providing the paperwork is completed in time, Doolan will arrive on July 12th when current stand-in professional Francios du Plessis goes home.

 

Doolan currently bats at number three for his state and has scored 772 runs at 32.2 since making his First-class debut in 2009. His right arm medium paced bowling has not yet been used at First-class level.
