Swantons Cricket Club, Ernakulam crushed Masters Cricket Club, Thiruvananthapuram by 76 runs and won the title in the M Mathew Memorial all-Kerala Cricket tournament at the Public Stadium, Thiruvalla.

 

An all-round performance by man-of-the-match P Prasanth (52 and three for 21) was the highlight of Swantons' win. Batting first after winning the toss, Swantons innings was boosted by half-centuries from Abhishek Hegde (76) and P Prasanth (52) and the Ernakulam side made 239 for six in 40 overs.

 

In reply, Masters Cricket Club fell to the guile of left-arm spinners Monish (four for 30) and P Prasanth (three for 21) and was dismissed to 163 in 38.3 overs. Sanju Samson top-scored for Masters with 42.

 

The scores Swantons Cricket Club 239 for six in 40 overs (Abhishek Hegde 76, P Prasanth 52, Abhishek Mohan three for 37) beat Masters Cricket Club 163 in 38.3 overs (Sanju Samson 42, Monish Jayan four for 30, P Prasanth three for 21)
