The South African coach Mickey Arthur has resigned from his post while Cricket South Africa (CSA) sacked the selection panel.

Arthur revealed his resignation on 26th January before confirming he was standing down at a press conference in East London before CSA revealed that it had decided to sack the selection panel, calling it 'dysfunctional'.
"The timing is very unfortunate with an exciting two-test tour of India coming up but the international cricket calendar these days means that there is never a good time," Arthur, speaking to Reuters, said on Tuesday.
"But all good things must come to an end and now is the time for someone else to take over."
At the press conference in East London, he added: I have decided to resign as national coach of the Proteas with immediate effect as I feel that it is in the best interests both of me and of the team.
Differences of approach on how to get the Proteas back to the top of world cricket have arisen between the Board of Cricket South Africa and me and I dont believe I can take the team forward under the present circumstances. There comes a time when you have to move on and I know in my own heart that I have taken the right decision.
Corrie van Zyl is to lead South Africa in India, where the first Test begins on 6th February in Nagpur.
Former selection convener Mike Procter told local radio that CSA head Gerald Majola informed him that the selection panel was to be disbanded.
"(CSA chief executive) Gerald Majola called me up and told me that the selection panel was dysfunctional. It was a huge shock to us all," he told Talk Radio 702.LATEST SCORES
