The National Cricket Academy suffered a 10-run defeat at the hands of the South African Emerging Players in the Cricket Australia Emerging Players Tournament.

 

Sudeep Tyagi’s 6/37 off 10 overs was not good enough for NCA as the South Africans scored 214/9 in 50 overs. South Africa were well served by Farhaan (33), Heino Kuhn (46), Daryn Smits (45) and CHD de Villiers (39).

 

In reply, Wriddhiman Saha scored 47 and Abhishek Nayar 33 in NCA’s response. Skipper S. Badrinath contributed but NCA fell short by 10 runs, dismissed for 204 off 47.4 overs.
