Cricket Ireland has announced the women's team for the European Championships due to be held there in August. The squad will be captained by Heather Whelan. The board has also named four reserve players for the tournament in case of injuries to its selected players.

 

Squad : Heather Whelan (capt), Emma Beamish, Jean Carroll, Marianne Herbert, Cecelia Joyce, Isobel Joyce, Amy Kenealy, Suzanne Kenealy, Ciara Metcalfe, Melissa Scott Hayward, Clare Shillington, Eimear Richardson and Jill Whelan.

 

Reserves : Sinead Lyons, Laura Cullen, Laura Delany and Carol Maguire.
