New Zealand raced to the needed target of 124 for the loss of just one wicket in just 16.2 overs against Australia. For New Zealand skipper Aimee Watkins, made a rollicking unbeaten 73 from 51 balls as she led the charge. Australia were restricted to 123 for 8 in their innings, after Kiwi left arm pacer Sian Ruck reduced them to 51 for 6.
 
In the Australian innings Lisa Sthalekar made a brisk 46 from 36 balls. Suzie Bates and Watkins put on an unbeaten stand of 116 to take their side home, Watkins cracking 12 fours and a six.
