Player: | XM Marshall |
DateLine: 13th May 2009
Marshall made his ODI debut at the age of 19 in January 2005 and in June the same year he was named the West Indies Young Cricketer of the Year. A brilliant fielder and an exceptional talent with the bat, Marshall has not done enough justice with his talent. Marshall can bat at any position and has some swashbuckling shots in his repertoire. He has been in bad form off late having scored ducks in both his last Test innings and last ODI, but the talent that he has, most believe one good knock and the bad form would be history. With an average of 25 odd in the shortest format of the game and the ability to save a dozen or so runs on the field, Marshall is surely an indispensible asset for the West Indies team in the T20 World Championship.
