Boucher is probably the best wicketkeeper batsman that South African cricket has produced till date. The number of records he holds is testimonial to the fact that he has hardly had any bad day at office. From being the fastest wicketkeeper to reach 100 dismissals, to being the wicketkeeper with whom lies the record of most innings without a bye over the road, Boucher has been a real stalwart behind the stumps. Alongside being a champion wicketkeeper, he also is exemplary as a batsman. He holds the record for the highest score by a nightwatchman. He also is very good in the shorter formats of the game and his memorable 50 in the record 434 chase against Australia was key to South Africa reaching the target. Boucher would be one of the key members for the Protean side in England, as his ability to hit long and also the potential to hold forte if a few quick wickets fall would come in really handy for the side. He has been playing for the Bangalore Royal Challengers in the IPL and looking at the way he has been performing the lanky wicketkeeper looks in good form both in front of and behind the wickets.
