Player:Z Khan

DateLine: 5th May 2009

Well-built, quick and unfazed by the batsman’s reputation, Zaheer Khan made a stunning entry in the world of cricket with super performances at the ICC Champions Trophy in 2000. Since then he has seen both the good and the bad days. Injuries have troubled him for a considerable part of his career, but Zaheer has always hit back with solid performances whenever back from injury. He has played a major part in all Indian overseas victories in the last decade. Wasim Akram recently called him the best left-arm seamer in the World. Zaheer can move the ball both ways off the wicket and swing the old ball at good pace. He has also developed a lethal yorker which seems to be unruffling a few feathers of the top batsman in the world. He would surely be India's pace spearhead in England for the T20 World Cup. The team would be looking towards him to provide them with early breakthroughs and also some lusty blows with the willow if and when needed.
