Victorian all rounder Andrew MacDonald will not be coming to Ramsbottom as reported last week.

 

An announcement on the all rounder is expected on Monday.

 

McDonald signed for Haslingden last season but didn't play enough First-class matches to meet the Work Permit criteria so Haslingden had to look elsewhere.

 

The 22 year-old Victorian all rounder, who bowls right arm medium pace and bats right handed, has just had a career best 6-67 in his last match against Western Australia and he also notched a career best unbeaten 45 against Queensland.

 

McDonald did actually appear in the Lancashire League last season whilst over on tour. He played for Enfield as substitute professional against Rishton, taking 3-80 in 25 overs, but was not called upon to bat in Enfield's 9 wicket win.
