Elvyn Bowen was a talented left-handed batsman and left-arm spinner. He had a fine record with Gowerton and made three appearances for Glamorgan between 1928 and 1933. Had the county not been able to draw on the services of Johnnie Clay and Frank Ryan, Bowen might have played more often for the county.
