Clive Davies was one of many promising young Welsh cricketers to spend time on the M.C.C. groundstaff in the 1960`s and 1970`s.

 

The left-arm spinner was at Lord`s in 1969 and 1970, and he also played with some success for Glamorgan`s 2nd XI. However, he failed to make an impression at first team level during seven appearances in 1971 and 1972.
