| Player: | BA Davis |
Bryan Davis was a member of Glamorgan`s Championship winning team of 1969. The West Indian had joined the Welsh county in 1968 and he soon established himself as a reliable top order batsman and slip fielder.

He passed a thousand runs in both 1969 and 1970, scoring over 1,500 runs in the latter season, but 1970 proved to be his final season of county cricket. His family had never really settled in South Wales, and he returned with them to the Caribbean. Davis had wanted to continue playing for Glamorgan, but he failed to fid a job in Trinidad that would allow him to play county cricket during the summer, so he reluctantly retired.
Davis had first played for Trinidad in 1959/60 and he won four Test caps for the West Indies during their tour to Australia in 1964/65. He also toured India and Ceylon in 1966/67, but failed to win any more Test caps. However, in recent years he has become a member of the West Indies Cricket Board.
