Stuart Harrison made several appearances for Glamorgan between 1971 and 1974 whilst training to be a teacher. The all-rounder continued to play club cricket, as well as 2nd XI cricket, and he re-appeared for Glamorgan in 1977 when the Welsh county were beset by injuries. He is the father of David and Adam Harrison, and is a member of the Glamorgan committee.
