Player: | EIE Whitman |
Eric Whitman had a brief career with Glamorgan, with the right-handed batsman and seam bowler playing against Leicestershire and Warwickshire on Glamorgan`s `tour` to the Midlands in 1932.

Educated at Barry Boys School and Cardiff University, Whitman had shown great promise in university cricket, as well as in club cricket for Barry C.C., but he opted for a career in education.
He taught at schools in the Home Counties and East Anglia, and as a result played Minor County cricket for Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire. After the Second World War, he taught in Dorset, before becoming Headmaster of a school in Sutton Coldfield and then Vice-Principal of Bourneville College.
