Dennis Shea made his Glamorgan debut in their wartime friendlies in the early 1940`s and the young leg-spinner showed enough promise to be offered a summer contract by Glamorgan when county cricket resumed in 1946.

 

Shea played in 3 first-class matches in 1947 and 1948, and also appeared on a regular basis in the county`s 2nd XI in their Minor County games.
