Niel Morgan was the older brother of J.T.Morgan, and after a fine sporting career at Charterhouse and Jesus College, Cambridge, Morgan went into the family`s business in Cardiff, based on the large department store in the heart of the city centre.

 

He was a useful all-rounder with Cardiff C.C., and the right-handed batsman and seam bowler played five times for Glamorgan between 1928 and 1929, besides representing Wales against the M.C.C. at Lord`s in 1929.
