DUNCAN, Dunbar Wilson Johnston.

Born at Southampton, Hampshire, 8th July 1852.
Died at Regents Park, London, 12th December 1919.
Born in Southampton, he was residing at the College at Southampton in 1876. He played cricket for Hampshire in seventeen first-class matches between 1875 and 1885. His brother Arthur James Duncan also played for Hampshire in two matches, one in 1878 and the other in 1883.
The 1881 Census finds him at 8 Mandeville Place, Marylebone, London, a boarding house run by John M. Ward and his wife Mary and daughter Annie Coghlan. Dunbar W.J.Duncan, aged 28 has its occupation described as annuity. There are twenty-six other boarders, eight of whom are merchants, five from overseas. eleven boarders are living on an annuity. There are eight domestic servants.
