• Grant Flower, on 1, completed 6000 runs in ODIs. He was playing his 201st match and 196th innings. He became only second Zimbabwean after brother Andy (6786 runs in 213 matches) and only the 25th batsman overall to reach this landmark.
• Douglas Marillier scored his maiden hundred in his 42nd match. His previous highest was 59 that he made against Pakistan two days ago.
• Marillier became third Zimbabwean batsman to score a hundred against Kenya. The others are : Neil Johnson (101 at Dhaka on 23-03-1999) and Grant Flower (140 at Dhaka on 27-03-1999).
• Heath Streak ended the match with a six.
• Marillier won Man of the Match award for the second time in his career.
