The centennial match was unfortunately marred by bad weather on the second day, but nevertheless a result was obtained. Losing Paterlini at 10 for a 'duck' Clem Gibson and Grant Dugmore put on 96 for he second wicket, but the going was never easy scoring at just over two an over and Juarez declared with seven wickets down. North batted solidly everyone getting double figures and when a first innings lead had been established Kirschbaum also declared. On a dam wicket the South had it all to do on the third morning and made only 150, Bernard Irigoyen making 44. 144 was not a lot to get for a win and the runs were made at nearly six an over, Mike Davis leading the way and the runs were made for the loss of five wickets. The Anniversary dinner was a great occasion and some of the players from yester year attended including Eric Ayling, S.M.F.Sylvester, G.W.Ferguson and P.J.F.Hussey.
