This match replaced the one originally scheduled for Banbury at an earlier date, when the captains agreed
that conditions were unsuitable for a championship match.
On the earlier occasion they therefore played a friendly match.
The runs conceded for Wakelin in the second innings have been assumed by checking the averages in Wisden and then the remaining unknown runs conceded given to Walters
