This return match was drawn, after the Cheshire declaration set Staffordshire a victory target of 169 runs in 40 minutes. The match between the two sides at Oxton in June had been drawn. For Cheshire, Blundell scored 75 in the first innings and 62 not out in the second with 8 fours. In the Staffordshire first innings Nichols scored 54.
