Devon won by 151 runs just before lunch on the second day. For the winners, Aston took 11 wickets in the match for 74 runs. In the Devon second innings, Tamworth and Christian added 53 runs for the ninth wicket. For the losers, Whiting took 7 wickets for 85 runs in the Devon first innings. In the Cornwall second innings, Escott and Whiting added 50 runs for the last wicket. Towards the end of the second Cornwall innings, Aston split a finger when fielding and had to leave the field. On the first day bad light stopped play early at 5.40 pm.
