Match notes
Pope bowled Barton with the first ball of the match. Victoria closed their innings when the sixth wicket fell on the last ball of the ninety-fourth over and sent Western Australia to bat for six overs before stumps. Western Australia made their best opening stand of the series but then collapsed and were sent to bat again. With no chance of a result the match concluded at 4.06 p.m.
