Sri Lanka thrash Zimbabwe

It continued to be tough going for Zimbabwe in the second Odi at Harare.
It was like school kids playing against an international team.Zimbabwe
were routed for 67 in 31 overs and Sri Lanka reached the target in the
18th over.Mendis was again the wrecker in chief taking 4 for 15.
If Zimbabwe continue to get thrashed like this their confidence
can be eroded. Electing to bat first on a wicket that had a lot to offer
for the bowlers was a huge blunder. They were struggling to put bat on ball.
None of the top order batsman could dominate and Sri Lankans looked like taking
wicket of each ball.
The introduction of spin only made matters difficult. The Indian batsman
struggled to read Mendis and Murali, how would the Zimbabwaen batsman do.
It was just slow death
Sri Lankans could have finished the match well before lunch. But they dragged
it past lunch.Sangakkara and Tharanga finished the game in the 18th over after
the early dismissal of Udawatte.
The fact that not even 50 overs were bowled in the day showed the
difference between both sides. The way things are going this pattern can continue
in the remaining odi's as well.
